Community Initiatives
A three-year programme of Community Initiatives will help deliver community-focused activities and events that celebrate and share the heritage, local history, arts and culture of places across South Lanarkshire.
Community Initiatives will be built on existing cultural activity and priorities and will be informed through consultation with communities across South Lanarkshire. We want to work with communities to help highlight, support, and celebrate what is important to them.
We are excited to engage with our communities in a number of Community Initiatives that will soon be rolling out across South Lanarkshire, starting with our very first Cultural Roadshow coming to East Kilbride Central Library on Saturday 28th November 2026.
