Community Grants
We are delighted that as part of the Culture Strategy Project, £200k has been ringfenced for a cultural community grants scheme!
This funding will be issued directly to community groups with the aim of supporting local community-led activities and events which share and celebrate heritage, local history, arts and culture. There will be two rounds of funding (2027/2028 and 2028/29) of £100k each year which will be divided into funding pots of £25k per geographical area:
| Rutherglen / Cambuslang | East Kilbride | Hamilton | Clydesdale | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Year 1 (2027/28) | £25k | £25k | £25k | £25k |
| Year 2 (2028/29) | £25k | £25k | £25k | £25k |
We are pleased to offer this funding opportunity to further support all the wonderful creative and cultural endeavours that take place in South Lanarkshire.
The first round of funding will open in December: watch this space for more information coming soon!
